Our strategic planning process is a comprehensive system that weaves together the Strategic, Operational and Financial functions of your business.

What do I get at the end of the process?

You get a ready-to-install, customized strategic operating plan, both in a Plan-On-A-Page (see example here) format and with a supporting playbook (hard copies and electronic formats). You get unity and alignment in leadership. You get clarified roles and a plan to move towards your vision while resourcing the staff to tend to the operational realities they face.

Who should be involved?

Having the right people in the room is a key component to a successful strategic planning process. The ideal team is comprised of six to twelve persons who are the key voices in your organization; who come from a variety of functions, are a healthy mix of ages, gender and tenure and above all, are those who can thing like a “shop owner” regardless of their position.

Where will we meet?

Your office, our office, or another site. They key is to find a comfortable, distraction-free place with plenty of wall space to which we can temporarily attach your charts. It would be best if the space allows us to leave up the charts over the three days while we meet.
What is your role as Facilitator?

As facilitator, we are the Process; you and your team are Content. We manage the strategic planning process so you and your team can focus on developing a plan that will bring your team to breakthrough levels of thinking. If necessary, we will slow down the pace in order to ascend to the mountaintop of perspective. This is not a cookie cutter process. Rather, it is a very creative process. And it’s fun!

What type of ongoing support do you provide?

Your Certified Facilitator will be with you on site for each one of the creation and implementation meetings and is then available for monthly coaching and quarterly on-site visits to ensue a smooth transition to operationalizing your strategic operating system.
